It’s that time of year again where I love a good challenge. After completing the 21Day Fix, I was thinking to myself what can I do next. I then thought of how I did a plank challenge 2 years ago June and I said to myself, “What the hell. Let’s do it again!”
So here we are, less than a week away and I cannot wait. I have gathered up 10 participants (and always looking for more) to join me in this month long challenge.
Planking is an effective way (if done correctly) to tone your arms and legs and most importantly tighten your core. It’s also one of the most challenging. People who have planked will never say to someone else “oh planking? yea that’s easy” because it’s not. You will shake, sweat and feel a-mazing afterwards. It’s hard work but worth it in the end.
Below is a chart I have created for this month’s challenge. There is one that you can use if you start off at 1 minute on Day 1 and there is a blank chart if you start at something different. The most important thing to remember is to increase 20 seconds every two days from the last time you had. NO CHEATING!! If you do, you’re only cheating yourself.
When planking, it’s very important to do it correctly. NO butts in the air! Below is a picture of me correctly planking.
