Summertime and smelling good. Two things that may or may not go hand in hand. If you’re like me, I have a fear of smelling bad during the summer (or any day for that matter). Hazy, hot and humid on the East Coast is not a pretty sight for us.
I have ventured off using traditional deodorant/antiperspirant brands and jumped on the all natural brand track, specifically using Ava Anderson. Now at first, I have to admit I was so afraid to do this because A) I’m a creature of habit of using my traditional deodorant/antiperspirants and B) I did not want to STINK!!! However, my health and taking preventive measures that I can control, especially to not put toxins in my body, I am all about.
So I first went to Target and bought Tom’s all natural deodorant. I have to admit, the first couple of days took some getting used to. I kept waiting for myself to smell, but I didn’t! I did however, feel the need to tell everyone around me that I am trying something new, just in case I smelled at work. I used it for about 3 weeks and didn’t really care for it. I didn’t smell but I also didn’t feel like it was working; if that even makes sense to you.
What I was really waiting patiently for was to try Ava Anderson’s deodorant. I read up on her product (amazing story by the way of who is the founder and creator), I was able to attend a party hosted by my cousin and I finally bought the new spray on Ava Anderson deodorant. I have to admit, at first it took some getting used to because I always used a ‘stick’ per se for my deodorant but the spray was very easy to use (it may sting a little after you shave but goes away very quickly). I love the way it smells and I feel dry throughout the whole entire day. The big test came when I ran a 5k two weeks ago and guess what, stayed dry and smelled fab throughout the race and afterwards. A-mazing!!!!
I have to say I so happy I made the switch to this product and that I am taking the first step to making my body completely healthy. We only get one body and if I can make a simple step, as in changing my deodorant, then I will.
Have you made the switch recently?
Never tried avaBody, now I’m intrigued… lol
I’ll admit I was hesitant but honestly I’m so happy I made the switch.
hi, i’m also used to a stick deoderant but if i can find this product at target, i’m willing to give it a try!
Ava Anderson’s you can order right on line ( the link is in my post). I bought Tom’s at Target and it was the stick and wasn’t much of a fan of it.
I would love to try it, but I’m allergic to lavender. I hope she makes more than one scent.
I would love to try it, but I’m allergic to lavender. Does she make another kind without lavender oil?
