30 days ago I embarked on a plank challenge that I created and executed. I looked for 10 participants to do it with me and ended up with 24 amazing challengers. I cannot believe the positivity and accountability that this group offered to one another. I loved every day waking up to seeing their posts and encouragement to one another. It’s amazing what it does for people.
In the past 30 days I have surprised myself. I had completed this challenge two years ago, and was able to complete it. However, I was younger and way more fit! Lol So this time around, having just completed a round of 21Day Fix, I was hoping I was going to be able to do the same.
There were times I thought my body was going to collapse, scream back at me or just keep on going. It’s simply amazing how I’ve noticed the strength in my arms increase and get toned. My abs have tightened and I’ve managed to keep my hips and waist the same size since having lost 4 inches prior to beginning this. Would I have liked to have lost more? Sure. But for me, it’s about toning and keeping the inches off and not just losing ‘weight’.
I should also stress that during these 30 days, I did continue to drink my Shakeology (until I ran out 🙁 ) and ate pretty healthy (that was also tough with a lot of events happening in the past month). So needless to say, I was still able to take on the challenge, keep my stomach toned if not make it better and get my arms looking fabulous all while ‘cheat’ eating a little bit here and there.
Once Wednesday, July 1st comes, I will be ready along with my challengers for the next challenge. I have given them 2 choices: Wall Sit Challenge or Squat Circuit Challenge. We shall see what the poll results will show! Either way, I am so excited to keep this awesome momentum going with a fantastic group of challengers.
