So in my previous post I mentioned Michi’s ladder, a clean way to eat, from Beachbody. When I was introduced to it, I was skeptical only because so many people around me were all about Paleo. Now if you’re anything like me, I love my food. But yet at the same time I’m probably the pickiest eater; so needless to say Paleo was not for me. I couldn’t change the way I eat in such an extreme way. So, I opted out of it and I’m so thankful I did because I found a way to eat that fits me perfectly~ Michi’s Ladder.
In the beginning of this month, I saw a 30 day May challenge on Facebook from one of the other Beachbody members, and I immediately became interested. I took a look at the ‘ladder’ and knew right away that this was something I kind of already do when I’m cooking and knew I could be a lot more disciplined with.
So here’s what I did, thanks to Meredith, the Beachbody coach who posted the challenge: download and print out Michi’s ladder. For the next 30 days eat foods from only Tier 1 and Tier 2. First highlight the foods that you do eat in just those 2 Tiers. Then, circle foods you think you will try within the next 30 days within those 2 tiers. You will surprised at what you already do eat that is included in just those two tiers, I know I was. I also saw that I ate a lot of food in the later tiers.
During this challenge, you must also drink a TON of water! I was someone who took a whole day drinking a 24 oz cup of water. Almost a month later, I am now drinking over 60 oz of water (for me this is HUGE!) and I can honestly say I feel so different. Water is like the golden ticket! You’re body will thank you.
