If you ask anyone what kind of eater I am, they can sum me up in one word~ picky. I have been like this my whole entire life but I have also come a long way. When I started the fix plan last year, I was a little worried about what I was going to eat. But believe it or not, if I, one of the worst eaters ever, can find food to eat on this plan, anyone can. Trust me.
Having been stuck in the house for the past 2 1/2 days due to the Blizzard 2015, I have made to sure to try my hardest to eat according to the plan. Tonight I took to one of my favorite cooking accessories, my Wok.
This meal can literally be made in 20 minutes from start to finish. Who doesn’t love that?!
Here’s what you need:
- Bean sprouts (1 green container)
- Zucchini (1 green container)
- Red meat extra lean {sirloin (1/2 lb) } (1 red container)
- whole grain pasta (1 yellow container)
- EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Minced garlic
- Wok
- saute pan
- Pot for the pasta
What I do first is boil the water for the whole grain pasta since the pasta takes the longest ( I do eat this with brown rice as well but tonight I felt like pasta). Once the water boils, I’ll throw in the pasta and begin to cook my zucchini in the wok with the EVOO and minced garlic and start my red meat in the sauté pan.
Once the zucchini is almost cooked, I’ll thrown in the bean sprouts. Let those cook in there until they are ready to come out. Both of the meat and veggies are seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder and minced garlic. Now, being Italian, I do not have an exact amount of how much is on them. I use just sprinkle it all over.
After everything is ready, I’ll measure it all out with the containers, and enjoy it! I can usually get two meals out of this, so as I’m cleaning up I prep my container for the next day’s lunch.
If you are a carnivore like me and/or picky like me, this meal is perfect for you. I do this “recipe” with my chicken and pork as well. You can literally mix together any veggies you want but for me zucchini is one of my favorites. I’ll probably eat two or three times a week.
The whole idea on the fix is to eat clean and with the appropriate portions. I love this whole plan and the workouts that go along with it.
Are you changing the way you eat??
Thank you for sharing your recipe, I think for everyone its different when it comes to “eating clean.”
