December Blog Challenge [Day 1]~ What's in a name? • The Glamourous Guide

This month I’ve teamed up with some fabulous bloggers to participate in a December Blog Challenge. Today’s first post is about, what’s in a name? I know I’ve told this one a few times, but I like to think that just as we age, so does our name, our blog name.

The Glamourous Guide was originated back in January of 2011 with my sister. I was starting my blog for a reason completely different than what I use it for now. Before it was an informational place to just post strictly reviews and fashion and beauty advice. As time went on, my blog took a turn. Things were happening in my life and I needed an outlet, so I turned to The GG.

I wanted The GG to be a place where women like me, could go to and not feel alone. Whether it be advice about relationships, being single, beauty products, or fashion and fitness tips. When people were asking me in person, I knew I had a perfect place to do this and it was right under my nose.

I love that the The GG has completely evolved, grown in numbers by the years and has opened so many doors for me. It’s only going to get better from here. This is the place to Let out your inner sparkle.

If there is ever a topic you’d like covered or have a question, I’m your girl. At 36, single, independent and lover of all things beauty and fashion trends, let me be your escape. Take a tour and get lost for awhile.

To all of the girls (and guys) who have ever thought about starting a blog, go for it. You’ll be amazed at how rewarding, freeing and satisfying it is to write about things you love.
