During this time of year, who doesn’t love getting goodies in the mail? I know I won’t turn the mailman away. I was lucky enough to be part of Influenster’s Rose VoxBox.
Here’s a review of a few of my favorites:
50 Shades of Gradation:
One of the beauty products I was able to review was the Kiss Gradation Nail Polish Kit. It came with the three polishes you need to achieve the ombré look. I was so surprised at how easy it was. As you see in the pictures, Step 1 is the base. You have to apply two coats. Let that dry and then you are ready to apply Step 2. In Step 2, this was the tricky part. You have to make sure you apply the polish to only the tip of your nail, which is about 1/3 of your nail bed (see photo). Before this polish dries completely, you want to apply Step 3. This time you want to apply the polish about 1/2 of the nail (see photo). Once the polish has dried, your nails will be ready for a top coat (see photo).
I had decided to paint my nails a little differently, rather than having all of my nails with the gradation, I decided to have only my middle and ring fingers with it. I did this because the trend right now is to have those two fingers accented on both hands. I used the Step 2 color as my base for my other fingers.
I was really pleased with how my nails came out and the polish last for about 8 days. You can find this at your local Wal-Mart for $6.97.

Back to the Future:
Another product I was able to review is Rimmel’s ScandelEyes Retro Glam Mascara. I have to admit I am a creature of habit when it comes to my beauty products but I was willing to give this a shot. In the first photo you will see my lashes without any mascara on. Ps. No woman, should ever leave the house without mascara! In the second photo, I included what the mascara package looked like. When I buy my mascara, I usually buy blackest-black, so I was happy to see that I was sent black to try. I always it is more definent with blakc. With the third and fourth photo, my lashes have the mascara on. I have to be honest, I didn’t notice that much a difference but my lashes were more prounounced and defined. I have tried others htat give my lashes more volume. I will say that on a day wehre I dont’ need to have my lashes stand out and I don’t wnat to leave the house without masacara, this is the one I will be using. It doesn’t smudge, lasts all day, and comes off very easiyly.
If you’re someone who isn’t into having your lashes be so glamorous, or may want some make up on their eyes but don’t want to look all done up, then this mascara is for you. You can find it at your local drugstore for only $5.99.

In Her Shoes:
No more sacrificing comfort for fashion. It’s that time of year when all of feet get shoved into winter and rain boots. We all know they aren’t always the most comfortable things to wear, but with Dr. Scholl’s for Her Cozy Cushions, your feet will thank you. I decided to put mine in my new boots that I like to wear to work and sometimes even out at night. The Cozy Cushions keep your feet warm and dry. The top layer has a nice fuzzy feel and underneath that are two plush layers that provide extra cushioning. If you’re always on your feet or a city girl that has to walk everywhere, these are for you and you won’t break the bank buying them either; they only cost $12.49.
